I would like to thank my colleagues in school for a huge surprise birthday cake, chocolates, red roses, greeting cards and lots of kisses. Feel so blessed on my birthday with all the pamperings. A big thanks to my Steph, Colleen and Alex for the birthday treat in Westin Hotel. We dined Italian dishes with a champagne toast from the three of them.
They got excellent foods, I got a lobster with asparagus on fresh cream sauce. My husband wants me to indulge myself as it's my special day
Just a lovely evening with my family. This year our precious daughter is with us and a wish come true. The pampering did not end in Westin, received flowers and unexpected gifts from family and friends. Barbs has sent a beautiful set of bracelet and necklace.
And here I am, in my pyjama still all smiles without my makeup on my new short hair. I really can't ask for more. Friday is our day of celebration with friends and kids. It will be in Dejavu Café and Lounge. Just click on the photos for a clearer view. Come join us if you can. Cheers!!

A mother of two kids, our invaluable treasures, Colleen who just turned 17 last July and Alexandre who is 14 years of age. United to my Romeo for more than 18 years, life has been a blissful one. He is from the city of light and he means that truly to us.
Juggling my career, motherhood and wifehood is a gift yet I miss my being with them at all times. Taking care of them in timelss moments is one of my greatest achievements. But in the course of our expatriate life, being a working mom will always be a challenge.

Hello Phoebes, I am glad you liked the bracelet and necklace. I know you will find the perfect summer dress for that. When I bought those, I already know it would look good on you with a summer outfit. I don't remember anymore what's in the other boxes, matagal ko na kasing binili yon from the Smithsonian museum, my memory is failing me! LOL I'm glad the package made it to you, I still don't know why the 1st package was returned, all they wrote on the box is NPAI. Anyway, all's well that ends well. :)

dai Fe, Thanks for sharing with me my joy. You know for 6 years in dhaka, our invitation on my birthday was always a thanksgiving day since I don't want my guests to worry about gifts. And for the last 6 years they had been complaining am unfair, giving them gifts on their birthdays and did not give them a chance on mine. But all thru those 6 years, some are smarter, they remember that day so from then on, still get lots of presents for those who remember. But this year, I finally said it's my birthday for some although among the 80 guests invited, 60% knew it's my birthday. I still keep it from the others. But I felt like crying for all these pamperings. I was lavishly offered with flowers, champagne, wine, books, jewelries, jewelry box, perfumes, bags, shawls and tinker box. Some were saying they have a hard time looking gifts for me as I have etc...whew, I told them there being there with me was the greatest gift I could cherish. Their presence on my special day is more that counts. Oh whew, the gesture of affection was overwhelming. Truly I felt so blessed.
Dear Barbs, the one on the other boxes are home decors, they are now part of my collections. Just love them. Yes..Alex is tall and still growing, he is not even 15 yet. Sure, colleen has been so rigid in following whatever instruction you gave her. She did good in giving it as a surprise. Thanks again and will make another post soon of the party.

i gave birth na pala 'te, nov. 29th thru c-section. my baby boy is 3 months old na. they keep me very busy and having an active 3 year old and an infant, i find it overwhelming sometimes. i tried to send you an update and photos shortly after i got out from the hospital but to no avail. laging bumabalik sa akin ang mga emails ko. i have a blog for them, invite kita ha kasi it's in private.
